Principles and parameters of training programming

DURATION 8 HOURS

Programming is the design and organization of different training programs over time periods that are divided into nanocycles, microcycles, mesocycles, and possibly macrocycles. The goal of each program, like periodization, is to increase, maximize, and optimize each individual's performance while simultaneously minimizing the risk of injury and overtraining. Each program must be customized specifically for each individual athlete. This personalized program must be based on the individual's strengths and weaknesses.

This training day will cover the following topics:

  • EXERCISES AND WORKLOAD: Supercompensation, Overtraining
  • THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF TRAINING
  • TRAINING PERIODIZATION: General Principles, Training Macrocycle, Training Periods, Training Mesocycle, Training Microcycles, Training Units
